Whenever I watch that scene I never know whether I should be laughing at it or shuddering. The whole idea is silly, but it's also really creepy hearing that little monster's high pitched squealing as the spider closes in on it!

Apparently the scene where they find Andrefly caught in the spider's web took forever to get in the can, because Vincent Price and - was it Herbert Marshall as the cop ? - would burst out laughing whenever they looked at each other. They finally managed by NOT making eye contact; they looked at leach others' left ear instead. That scene was referenced in one episode of EERIE, INDIANA. There was often something going on in the background, with the characters paying no attention, and one time it was a spider web and a little voice going "HELP MEEE!"
