What is MonsterHunter?

More than six hundred movie reviews written from 1999-2004.

I thought you retired, but I keep seeing new reviews posted. What's the deal?

MonsterHunter stopped writing reviews in November, 2004. The "new" reviews were written prior to that and will be periodically posted until this pre-existing inventory of reviews is used up.

Does MonsterHunter sell movies?

No.

Where do I send comments?

DVD Retailers:

Xploited Cinema - This is the first choice for import DVDs. Very reliable and very fast shipping.
Diabolik DVD - This is the second choice for import DVDs. Also reliable and pretty fast shipping.
Poker Industries - Ordered from here several times with no problems. Focuses mainly on Asian DVDs and VCDs.
HK Flix - Also have had no problems with orders from these guys. Carries a selection similar to Poker's.
CD Japan - Japanese retailer. Ordered a Gamera box set from successfully.
Sendit - They used to be Blackstar and are a good source of British DVDs.
Midnight Video - They have an increasing selection of DVD-Rs of interest to horror fans. Reliable, though a bit pricey.
Both Trash Online and Digital Conquest have a great selection of Italian movies on DVD-R and are reliable.
Sinister Cinema - Lots of DVD-Rs in a variety of genres. Ordered without problems from them.
Deep Discount DVD - Mainstream DVD retailer. Usually has the lowest prices, especially when selecting the free shipping option. First choice for most American DVD releases.

DVD News:

The Digital Bits - Daily updates and some reviews of DVD news and releases.
DVD Talk - They also have detailed information on DVD releases and announcements as well as a wide variety of reviews. Also features a very active forum for DVD related discussion.
DVD Drive-In - Though not updated as regularly as the above two sites, this one always has announcements of interest to fans of horror and B-movies before most other places do.
Sex Gore Mutants - This one will keep you up to date on horror DVD releases in Britain and the rest of Europe.
Kung Fu Cult Cinema - Good coverage of the Asian film scene.
Spaghetti Cinema/Martial Arts Movies Associates - Title pretty much says it all. The site also has links to a variety of European movie sites.
Gorezone - Daily horror-related DVD news as well as info on theatrical releases.
Ulitmate Disney - Every thing you wanted to know about Disney DVDs past, present, and future.

DVD Maniacs - Active forum devoted to horror movies of all types.
Mobius Home Video Forum - Not as free-wheeling as DVD Maniacs, but lots of good news and information here.
Horror HQ - Not as active as the first two, but you can find some useful views on recently released horror DVDs here.
