I really enjoyed reading your review of Clark Gable's movie Homecoming because it was so witty and clever. I do, however, think you must either be about 30 years old or younger (maybe 15) or a man (I use the term loosely because a real man knows what romance is) because if you were old enough to remember the way that old fashioned love can be, you would certainly see that is movie is full of romance, good acting and traditional values that have since been lost since the 60's revolution that ruined this country forever for films of this kind.
I must confess that I am a bit biased since Clark Gable is my most favorite movie idol. But in the same breath let me say that I also adore Brett Favre, who is barely over thirty , because to me he somehow reminds me of the old fashioned honorable type of man that we see no more except in movies such as Homecoming.
I know this means absolutely nothing to you but I just wanted to let you know that after seeing Homecoming last night on TV I was on the net today to find out more of what I could about this great movie and thus came across your "review". I am still wondering if we were watching the same movie.

Dear dealer of misery,
Just the other day I found myself with some time on my hands (so to
speak)
and therefore decided to buy a 3 day trial membership at
www.hustler.com for
the goodly sum of $4.95. After having purchased said trial membership
I
then spent a most satisfying yet short period of time enjoying the
bountiful
pleasures therein.
Due to my rather slow 56k modem connection, the aforementioned
pictorals and
goodness were taking so long to download that I decided to make a
coffee and
read some of your movie fillum reviews during the interludes. And it
was
then (oh lordy lordy then indeed!) that I came across your review for
the
little known celluloid exhibit hence titled The Wonderful Land Of Oz.
Whilst perusing said review of this film I laughed so hard that I
spilled my
coffee, blanketing my engorged member in scalding liquid. My previous
festivities were bought to a grinding halt as my maimed johnson turned
an
angry shade of crimson. After running it under a cold tap for a few
minutes
it was abundantly clear that my blistered tool was unfit for any wear
and
tear.
My brutally poached digit remained in a state of disrepair for a
further
three days, by which time my trial membership to www.hustler.com had
elapsed
and all for nought.
It is YOU I blame for the squandering of the aforementioned $4.95 from
my
coffers and I'm gonna get you for it, monsterhunter.
I'm gonna get you...
Regards,

Linda B. September 25, 2004 I was watching A Letter To Three Wives today and fell asleep before the end, so I decided to check the internet to see if I could see how it ended.
I came upon your website and read your synopsis/review of the movie, and wanted to tell you that it had me laughing and agreeing with you, and I also found out that it ended the way I figured it would.
Very funny. Thank you.

Steve D. September 19, 2004 I just read some more reviews -- very well done. 2001: A Space Odyssey is my all-time
favorite film, and you really gave it a respectful analysis. I seem to
recall Kubrick hired someone who created an entire original score for
the
film, which was competent by all accounts but nonetheless scrapped by
The
Man in favor of classics.
Also, good review of the '37 Lost Horizon. You should think about
reviewing the '73 version. I think that was the worst big-budget film
ever
made. I still have nightmares in which I'm back in high school in my
underwear and George Kennedy is singing and dancing.
Gahd, how I hate people who write in with tiny, insignificant factual
errors, but I believe the final scenes in 2001 play out in what the
book
describes as a hotel room, not a house. What is WRONG with you??? :)
I've bookmarked your site. You're a gifted writer. Keep up the good
work.
